This activity focuses on reading fluency and comprehension for first graders. Students will read a short passage aloud twice to practice smoothness and speed, answer three comprehension questions, and complete two creative Show It tasks where they demonstrate understanding using drawings, photos, or recordings. No special materials are required beyond a device with a microphone and camera for multimedia responses. For partner or small-group use, pair students so one reads while the other listens and gives feedback on expression.
