Student Instructions

1) Read the quick recap pages. 2) Complete the matching, sorting, and practice questions.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This activity helps students practice finding factors, recognizing factor pairs, and distinguishing prime vs. composite numbers. Use the pages in order: review recap, vocabulary, interactive prompts, practice matching and sorting, then assessment and partner work. For the partner activity, have simple materials: paper, pencil, and counters or small objects for modeling. For open-ended responses, high-quality answers will show clear reasoning: list of factor pairs or show dividing calculations, correct identification of factors, and an explanation of why each number is a factor (e.g., 6 × 3 = 18 so 3 is a factor of 18). Teachers can mark answers correct when the student lists all factors or gives a correct explanation for their thinking.
