Student Instructions

1. Start at the top, select voice tap the sounds you hear and use move and drag the letter to build the word. 2. Continue to the next line until you finish the whole list. 3. When you are done select check to save this to your journal. Option: You can build a new word on each line OR you move the letters from the line above down to the next line to continue the word chain. As you work down the list you only change one grapheme to create the next word.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

Word chains are similar to word ladders in that as you move along you change only ONE grapheme from line to line. Students listen to each word dictated. Using the move tool they drag the letters to the line. They can either build a word for each line OR move just the needed grapheme from above and build the next word. Word List: bat, bats, baths, bath back, black, block, blocked
