Word-Phrase-Sentence for Song Lyrics

Student Instructions

1. Find a YouTube of a song you like WITH WORDS/LYRICS and copy the link 2. Click on "Link" link 3. Paste the link where it says, "Enter a website URL" and click the checkmark check 4. Click on the quotation mark caption at the bottom 5. Copy and paste one SENTENCE from the lyrics that sums up the whole meaning of the song. Explain why you picked that sentence. "This sentence is important because..."" 6. For each part of the song (verse/chorus), pick a WORD that is powerful or interesting and explain why you picked it. "In verse 1, the word '___' shows/means to me..." 7. Find at least two important/descriptive phrases (2-6 words) that do not repeat ideas from the sentence or word. Explain why you chose those phrases. "The phrase '_____' shows/means to me..." 8. Click back on the video to exit the caption box. 9. Click on the green checkmark check in the top right TWICE to save.
